A man heard shouting "Allahu Akbar" ("God is greatest") has been arrested in France after ploughing his car into crowds of people.
At least 11 people were injured, two of them seriously, after the driver targeted passers-by in five different areas of the eastern city of Dijon.
Witnesses told police he was also heard shouting he was "acting for the children of Palestine".
On Saturday French police shot dead another man who stabbed three officers in a police station in the central town of Joue-les-Tours. The 20-year-old, who had converted to Islam, was also heard shouting "Allahu Akbar".
A source close to the investigation into this latest attack said the man, born in 1974, was known to authorities.
He "is apparently unbalanced and had been in a psychiatric hospital," the source said, adding that "for now his motives are still unclear".
According to French newspaper Le Figaro, two other people were in the car.
Officials investigating Saturday's attack in Joue-les Tours suspect it to have been motivated by radical Islam.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told television station TF1 the attacker was "very unstable".
